On the surface, they seem quite similar in shape and function. However, once you use both for some time, you become aware of something very slight yet distinctive about the homemade one. It is this uniqueness that defines handcrafted wooden products. Factory items have production lines that work extremely fast, cutting out thousands of products in the same way and form every day. Efficiency, precision and economy are important aspects to focus on, but the downside of all this is that products gradually lose their individual character and become bland.
Handmade wooden objects, on the contrary, proceed at their own pace. As they have been created by people, every product is different from others. Grain and imperfections of cutting and shaping are what make hand-made wooden objects so attractive.

Introducing a handmade object into one’s environment evokes feelings different from the ones associated with buying a manufactured good. It becomes a deliberate act. It is chosen consciously, not produced in bulk, hence the sense of accomplishment.
It is in the kitchen or anywhere else at home that the smallest things define our daily existence, and that aspect is of much more importance than we realize.
This does not mean that factory products are useless because they are functional, cheap, and readily available. However, if you need to acquire something that adds comfort, character, and a personal touch to the space, wooden objects made by hand take precedence. Ultimately, owning something has little significance compared to its ability to enrich your environment.
